Last year Staffordshire Blind approached Action
for Blind People to explore the possibility of a
closer working relationship for the future.
After considering a number of options it was
agreed the preferred route to follow was that of
a full merger. On 1 April 2010 therefore
Staffordshire Blind became part of Action for
Blind People’s West Midlands Regional Team.
The merger of Staffordshire Blind with Action
for Blind People provides an opportunity to
increase the range of services to blind and
partially sighted people in the local area.
New opening hours for the Stafford office are:
Monday - Closed.
Tuesday to Friday - 10.00a.m. - 12.00p.m. and
2.00p.m. - 4.00p.m.
Due to a lack of finance, the Home Visiting
Service for both the South and North Staffordshire areas has
ceased.
This includes the following districts:-
Burton-
Uttoxeter, Cannock- Rugeley, Lichfield-Burntwood,
Penkridge-Great Wyrley, Tamworth, Stafford and
Stone, Newcastle and Staffs Moorlands.
